Newcastle is having a makeover.

There's been a massive uproar in Newcastle - today especially - with the grand opening of all the new shops - the building work is eventually finished, hoorah! Yeah sure, we already had Topshop, River Island, New Look, Dorothy Perkins and Burton but they've been relocated, renewed and refurbished. They're all bigger and better. What's even better is Apple have given us a store to play with, personally, I love this!

Even though there's more to life than shopping, I feel all of these new shops are going to have a positive impact on the city. New attractions equals more tourists which equals more money. Extending the Newcastle shopping empire is quite impressive considering the recession.

Hopefully the city will get some more publicity and some of the amazing bands will stop missing us out on their tours!
